Golden Gate Bridge

The Golden Gate Strait is the entrance to the San Francisco Bay from the Pacific Ocean. The strait is approximately three-miles long by one-mile wide with currents ranging from 4.5 to 7.5 knots. The bridge is one of the most internationally recognized symbols of San Francisco, California, and the United States. It has been declared one of the Wonders of the Modern World by the American Society of Civil Engineers. The bridge is considered by many to be one of the most photographed and beautiful bridge in the world. Up until the mid 1960's the Golden Gate Bridge held the title of longest suspension bridge. A must see when visiting San Francisco!
